A baked potato is considered an American standard food in Cook, Serve, Delicious!
A one-star baked potato recipe.
Baked potatoes are unique in the way they have to be cooked. It has a large amount of recipes, with also many ingredients, making it a difficult food to master.
It does not need any special equipment to be bought or cooked, and it is upgradeable to four stars. It costs $1200.
Preparation[]
Just pressing the prep station key will start baking the potato.
The baked potato is the only food in the game which starts cooking at the press of the corresponding prep station button. It will take a little over 8 seconds to cook, and it will burn in 13 seconds.
Once baked, the recipe may call for some ingredients, and then once all the ingredients have been placed, the baked potato is ready to be served.
One of the recipes won't need any ingredients, therefore being able to be served immediately, as nachos "Bowl of Chips" and pretzel "The Dry Twister".
There are a couple of things to be cautious about when preparing a baked potato:
- Double tapping the prep station instead of pressing the button once, as it will work just the same way but the order will not be perfect.
- Four-star recipes who call for everything. The "Fully Loaded Potato" must not have Queso and the "Fully Loaded w/Queso" must not have Cheese.

Boosters and detractors[]
Baked potatoes have more detractors than boosters. Neither of the boosters or detractors affect buzz (unless it's a rainy day, baked potatoes are left too long on the menu or they are paired with two more fatty foods). They are a menu filler.
